What a stunning image. (The one above. Although the one to the left of me enjoying a Kir Royale in St Emilion last summer is pretty special too.)
Ahh, beautiful France. The land of breathtaking chateâux, perfectly chilled rosé, and mouthwatering goat's cheese salads enjoyed in the sun.
Back in 2001, after five years of study, including a year teaching in the beautiful Loire Valley, I bid a very fond farewell to Durham University with a 2:1 BA (Hons) and MA in Modern European Languages under my belt.
In 2003, following my passion for languages, I passed the Chartered Institute of Linguists’ internationally recognised Diploma in Translation (French to English) and entered the translation industry, working in a Quality Assurance role for a leading localisation agency.
I set up my freelance translation business in 2006, and since then have been happily working for agencies based in the UK and overseas.
Alongside translation, I am a trained and experienced proofreader/copy-editor, having completed a number of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) courses.
